Export limitation with batteries

Export limitation with batteries is the control arrangement that keeps battery discharge from pushing a property above its DNO agreed export limit.

Export limitation with batteries is the way a battery system is included in site export control, zero-export control or a G100 (Engineering Recommendation G100) customer limitation scheme so battery discharge does not make net export exceed the DNO agreed export limit or maximum export capacity. The control usually measures power flow near the meter or connection point and can reduce generation, stop battery discharge, increase battery charging or coordinate other controllable demand, depending on the equipment design. It is not the same as SEG registration, an export MPAN, battery capacity, backup operation or permission to change commissioned settings.
