Failsafe export limitation

Failsafe export limitation is fallback behaviour in a G100 (Engineering Recommendation G100) export-limiting scheme that is meant to keep export at or below the DNO agreed limit if a meter, controller, CT (current transformer), power supply or communication link fails. In solar PV, battery or hybrid inverter systems, the safe state may reduce active power output, stop battery charge or discharge, stop PV production or rely on another type-tested behaviour recorded in the product evidence.
