Fan convector

A fan convector is a heat emitter that uses a fan to move room air across heated fins or a coil, helping a compact unit release heat into the room.

In a home heat pump or wet central heating system, a fan convector is a room heat emitter with heat-transfer fins or a coil and a small fan that moves air across them. It may be used where a room needs more heat output than a passive radiator of similar size can provide, or where lower heating-water temperatures are part of the design. Its output depends on the product, water temperatures, airflow setting, room heat loss and electrical supply for the fan, so the term is not a guarantee of comfort, efficiency, low noise or suitability for a particular room.
