G100 export limitation

G100 export limitation is a customer export limitation arrangement designed around ENA Engineering Recommendation G100, which sets technical requirements for schemes that limit export to, or import from, a DNO distribution network. In a home energy installation, the scheme measures power flow at the connection point or exit point and controls generation, storage or demand so export stays at or below the maximum export limit or maximum export capacity agreed with the DNO. It can appear in apply-to-connect solar PV, battery storage and bidirectional EV charging paperwork where equipment could export more than the connection is allowed to accept. It is not the same as an export tariff, export MPAN, SEG eligibility, exported kWh total or permission to alter equipment settings after commissioning.
