Glycol

Glycol is a heat-transfer-fluid ingredient, usually propylene glycol or ethylene glycol, that is mixed with water in some heat pump, ground array or heating circuits to lower the fluid's freezing point. In home energy paperwork it appears in glycol mixture, antifreeze, brine and thermal-transfer-fluid notes, and the exact product, concentration and inhibitor package are set by the system design and manufacturer instructions.
