Heat loss survey

A heat loss survey is a room-by-room assessment of a property used to produce or check heat loss and heat load calculations for heat pump design. It records factors such as room sizes, building fabric, ventilation assumptions, design temperatures and existing or proposed heat emitters, so the installer can assess heat pump capacity, emitter changes, flow temperature and any design revision. It is not an EPC, a thermal-imaging inspection, a final heat loss report, a running-cost promise or proof that every room will perform exactly as modelled.
