Hub
Also known as Smart home hub, Control hub, Device hub
A hub is a device, built-in module or controller role that connects compatible home energy products or smart-home devices to an app, platform or network.
A hub is a device, built-in module or controller role that links compatible devices to an app, platform or network. In home energy systems, a hub may connect EV chargers, solar diverters, heating controls, meters, sensors or smart-home devices so they can share data, receive firmware updates or be managed from an app. The label is product-specific: some hubs connect through Ethernet or Wi-Fi, some use wireless device protocols, and some hub functions are built into another product.
