An IDNO (independent DNO) is a licensed electricity DNO that owns and operates a smaller local electricity network, often the final network stretch between a host DNO network and homes or businesses on a new development. In home energy paperwork, an IDNO may be the network operator named for a property, MPAN, connection application, export application or connection offer. The label is separate from the household's energy supplier, installer, independent connection provider, DNO approval letter, MCS certificate, SEG registration or proof that a solar PV, battery, EV chargepoint or heat pump change has been accepted.
