Load compensation controls use indoor temperature feedback to adjust the heat sent into a heating system.

Load compensation controls are heating controls that use indoor temperature or measured heat demand inside the building to limit heating flow temperature or modulate heat-generator output. Unlike weather compensation, which responds mainly to outdoor temperature, load compensation responds to how the building is warming up and can reduce output as rooms approach the target temperature.
