Load profile class
Also known as Profile Class, electricity profile class, settlement profile class
A load profile class is an electricity-settlement category that groups similar customers so non-half-hourly consumption can be assigned a representative pattern over time.
A load profile class is an electricity-settlement category used to group similar customers so their consumption can be represented by a common half-hourly load profile when actual half-hourly data is not used. Elexon lists domestic unrestricted, domestic Economy 7, non-domestic unrestricted, non-domestic Economy 7 and non-domestic maximum-demand profile classes for the non-half-hourly market. In household paperwork, the class may appear in MPAN, supplier or metering records, especially around a domestic unrestricted or domestic Economy 7 supply.
