MCS 012 solar mounting standard

Also known as MCS 012, Solar Mounting Product Standard, MCS 012 Solar Mounting

MCS 012 is the MCS solar mounting product standard for certifying roof mounting systems and components used to attach solar PV or solar thermal panels to building roofs.

MCS 012 is the MCS solar mounting product standard for systems and components used to mount solar PV modules and solar thermal collectors on building roofs. It covers above-roof mounting, roof-integrated mounting and active solar products that become part of the roof covering, with evidence around wind uplift, fire performance, weather-tightness, technical documentation and manufacturer quality controls. The standard helps identify whether a specific mounting kit or component has relevant product certification for MCS solar work, but it is not an installation certificate, structural survey, roof suitability verdict, planning permission, DNO approval, MCS certificate for the whole installation, warranty cover or proof that any panel can be used with any roof kit.
