Meter integration
Meter integration is the link that lets an app, controller or home energy device use readings from a meter, energy meter or metering interface.
Meter integration is the connection between a meter or metering device and the app, controller, gateway or product that uses its readings. In home energy systems, the source may be a supplier smart meter with a communications hub, a local energy meter connected by Ethernet, RS485 or another protocol, a CT clamp, a pulse reader, an inverter feed or an energy-provider data connection. The integrated readings may show grid import/export, household consumption, solar generation, EV charging or heat-pump demand, or may feed controls such as self-consumption, load management or surplus charging.
