Metered export

Metered export is exported electricity that is measured by an export meter, smart meter export register or other eligible metering arrangement instead of being estimated. The term appears in Feed-in Tariff paperwork when export payments move from deemed export to measured exported kWh, and in SEG (Smart Export Guarantee) material where payments are based on actual meter readings. It is not the same as total generation, self-consumption, an export MPAN, DNO approval, SEG eligibility, an export tariff rate, supplier billing accuracy or permission to export at a particular power level.
