MIS 3002

Also known as The Solar PV Standard, The Solar PV Installation Standard, MIS 3002 solar PV standard

MIS 3002 is the MCS installation standard for solar PV systems fitted by MCS certified contractors.

MIS 3002 is the MCS installation standard for solar PV systems. It sets MCS contractor requirements for the supply, design, installation, set to work, commissioning and handover of solar PV systems supplying permanent buildings, normally connected in parallel with the electricity distribution network and up to 50 kWp (kilowatt peak) DC output. MIS 3002 appears in installer accreditation material, design records, commissioning evidence, handover packs and MCS certification records. It is a versioned solar PV installation standard, not an MCS certificate, MCS 005 product certificate, MCS 012 mounting product standard, Building Regulations sign-off, BS 7671 electrical certificate, DNO approval, export MPAN setup, SEG acceptance, planning permission, product warranty cover or proof that a specific roof, design or installation is suitable.
