MIS 3012 battery storage standard

Also known as MIS 3012, The Battery Installation Standard, Battery Installation Standard

MIS 3012 is the MCS battery storage installation standard for MCS certified contractors working on EESS (electrical energy storage systems).

MIS 3012 is the MCS battery storage installation standard. The MCS standards library describes the current MIS 3012:2025 Battery Installation Standard as setting requirements for the design and installation of battery storage systems, also described in MCS material as EESS (electrical energy storage systems). MIS 3012 appears in installer accreditation, battery storage design records, commissioning checks, handover packs, grant paperwork and MCS certification records. It is a versioned MCS battery storage installation standard, not an MCS certificate, product certificate, IET EESS Code of Practice, fire-risk assessment, Building Regulations sign-off, DNO approval, export-tariff registration, warranty cover or proof that a specific battery design, product combination or installation is suitable.
