NAPIT (National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers) is a UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) accredited certification and membership scheme operator for building services and fabric trades. NAPIT Registration is authorised by government to operate CPS (Competent Person Scheme) routes for self-certification against Building Regulations in England and Wales. NAPIT Certification is accredited by UKAS to certificate businesses or tradespeople across multiple schemes. NAPIT appears on installer credentials, Building Regulations compliance certificates, electrical certificates, MCS or retrofit paperwork, consumer-protection documents and handover packs for solar PV, battery storage, EV charging or heat pump work. NAPIT registration or scheme membership is not the same as an electrical certificate, an MCS certificate, DNO approval, planning permission, export tariff registration, product warranty cover or proof that a specific installation is safe, compliant or correctly designed.
