NICEIC (National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting) is a UK certification and assessment brand for electrical businesses and related trades. NICEIC says it is the UK's largest certification body for electrical businesses, and its scheme details include electrical contractor, domestic installer, MCS installer and Competent Person Scheme routes. NICEIC appears on installer credentials, electrical certificates, Part P Building Regulations notifications, MCS paperwork, grant documents and handover packs for solar PV, battery storage, EV charging or heat pump work. NICEIC registration is not the same as an electrical certificate, an MCS certificate, DNO approval, planning permission, export tariff registration, product warranty cover or proof that a specific installation is safe, compliant or correctly designed.
