Outdoor unit siting

Outdoor unit siting is the choice of where an air source heat pump outdoor unit is placed outside a property and what constraints affect that position. In home energy documents it can cover clearances for airflow and service access, condensate drainage, sound at neighbouring assessment positions, appearance, boundaries, roof or wall limitations and the manufacturer's installation instructions. The term describes the siting check or design constraint.
