PAS 2030
Also known as Publicly Available Specification 2030, PAS 2030:2023
PAS 2030 (Publicly Available Specification 2030) is a BSI installation specification for energy efficiency measures in existing dwellings, often seen in retrofit and funded-scheme paperwork.
PAS 2030 (Publicly Available Specification 2030) is the BSI (British Standards Institution) specification for installing energy efficiency measures in existing dwellings. BSI says PAS 2030:2023 covers installation processes, process management and service provision. GOV.UK describes PAS 2030 as a standard first introduced for government energy efficiency schemes in 2013 and linked with PAS 2035 (Publicly Available Specification 2035) for a whole-house, whole-project retrofit approach. It appears in ECO4 (Energy Company Obligation 4), TrustMark, installer certification and retrofit handover paperwork. PAS 2030 certification is not the same as MCS certification, DNO approval, planning permission, Building Regulations approval, product warranty cover or proof that a specific solar PV, battery, EV charging or heat pump installation is safe, suitable or correctly designed.
