PAS 2035

Also known as Publicly Available Specification 2035, PAS 2035:2023

PAS 2035 (Publicly Available Specification 2035) is a BSI (British Standards Institution) specification and guidance framework for whole-house energy retrofit work in existing homes.

PAS 2035 (Publicly Available Specification 2035) is the BSI (British Standards Institution) specification and guidance framework for assessing, planning, designing, handing over and evaluating energy retrofit work in existing dwellings. BSI describes PAS 2035:2023 as an end-to-end, whole-house retrofit standard and says it is mandatory for some government-funded energy efficiency projects. It is normally used alongside PAS 2030 (Publicly Available Specification 2030), which covers installation of energy efficiency measures. PAS 2035 appears in ECO4 (Energy Company Obligation 4), TrustMark, retrofit coordinator, assessment, design, handover and lodgement paperwork. PAS 2035 is not an MCS certificate, DNO approval, planning permission, Building Regulations completion certificate, product warranty or proof that a specific solar PV, battery storage, EV charging or heat pump installation is safe, suitable or correctly designed.
