Premium export tariffs tied to installation
Premium export tariffs tied to installation are supplier export tariffs where a higher export rate depends on the customer's import supply, solar or battery installation route or both.
Premium export tariffs tied to installation are higher-rate export tariffs offered under or alongside the SEG where eligibility depends on a supplier condition as well as export metering. The condition might be taking import electricity from the same supplier, buying solar PV panels or battery storage from that supplier, using a compatible smart meter or holding the required MCS or equivalent installation evidence. The label is separate from the base export tariff, export MPAN setup, DNO approval, SEG acceptance, supplier import pricing, installation quality, product warranty cover and proof that all exported electricity or battery exports will be paid at the premium rate.
