PV commissioning pack
A PV commissioning pack is the solar-specific handover bundle that records commissioning checks, PV array test results and key documents for a completed solar PV installation.
A PV commissioning pack is the solar PV handover bundle that records how the installation was commissioned, inspected, tested and handed over. MCS MIS 3002 says a solar PV system must be commissioned using a documented procedure to confirm it is safe, installed to the standard and manufacturer requirements and operating correctly to the system design. Its commissioning templates include a model handover document, a PV system verification certificate and a PV array test report with details such as installed key components, rated DC power, test date, report references, string values, polarity checks, insulation resistance, earth-continuity checks, isolator ratings and inverter details. It should be read alongside the MCS certificate, relevant building regulations evidence, DNO notification or approval proof, warranties and manufacturer information where those apply.
