PV diverter immersion control

A PV diverter immersion control uses surplus solar generation to power an immersion heater so a hot water cylinder can be heated before that electricity is exported.
A PV diverter immersion control is a device or control arrangement that monitors surplus solar generation or site export and varies power to an immersion heater so a hot water cylinder can be heated before that electricity is exported. It usually works with a metering clamp, sender or meter signal rather than by changing the solar inverter itself, and it may reduce, pause or boost heating according to export level, cylinder temperature and product settings. It is not the same as solar thermal, EV solar divert charging, hot water priority control, immersion boost or proof of export-tariff eligibility, battery priority, cylinder suitability, safe wiring, tariff savings, warranty cover or permission to alter immersion controls.
