R32 refrigerant

R32 refrigerant is HFC-32 (hydrofluorocarbon-32), also called difluoromethane, used in some heat pumps and air-conditioning equipment as a sealed-circuit working fluid.

R32 refrigerant is HFC-32 (hydrofluorocarbon-32), an F-gas (fluorinated greenhouse gas) that GOV.UK lists as difluoromethane with a GWP (global warming potential) of 675. In home-energy documents it can appear as R32 or R-32 on heat pump product pages, labels, service records and handover information. It is not the heating water in the system, not a product recommendation, not proof of efficiency, safety, compliance, planning permission or warranty cover and not something a householder should handle, recover, top up or vent.
