RDC-DD
Also known as Residual direct current detecting device, RDC-DD
RDC-DD means residual DC detecting device, a Mode 3 EV charging protection device that detects smooth DC residual current so other equipment can disconnect the circuit.
RDC-DD means residual DC detecting device: a device used in Mode 3 EV charging arrangements to detect smooth DC residual current and initiate disconnection, usually by operating another switching device such as a contactor. It is commonly mentioned where charger paperwork describes Type A or Type F RCD protection with additional 6 mA DC residual-current detection.
