RECC
Also known as Renewable Energy Consumer Code
RECC is the Renewable Energy Consumer Code, a consumer code for businesses selling or leasing small-scale renewable and low-carbon heat or power systems to domestic consumers.
RECC stands for the Renewable Energy Consumer Code. It is a consumer-code scheme for businesses selling or leasing small-scale renewable or low-carbon heat and power generators and related products, including battery storage, to domestic consumers. The code covers consumer-service areas such as marketing, pre-contract information, quotations, deposits, contracts, guarantees and after-sales service. RECC membership or a RECC logo is separate from MCS certification, TrustMark registration, Building Regulations approval, DNO notification or approval, grant eligibility, product warranty cover, export-tariff registration, EVCC membership and proof that a specific installation is suitable or correctly designed.
