Refrigerant

Refrigerant is the fluid in the sealed heat pump refrigeration circuit that absorbs heat at a low temperature and releases it at a higher temperature as the compressor, heat exchangers and expansion device change its pressure and temperature. In heat pump documents it may appear as a refrigerant type, refrigerant charge, pipework detail, global warming potential figure or F-gas record. It is different from the heating water in the radiators, and the sealed circuit is not user-serviceable.
