Room-by-room heat loss

Room-by-room heat loss is the calculated heat loss for each heated room in a property, rather than one whole-home figure. In heat pump design, it uses room dimensions, building fabric, ventilation assumptions and design temperatures to help size heat emitters, set design flow temperature and check whether the proposed heat pump can meet the calculated load. It is not the same as an EPC (Energy Performance Certificate), a heat loss survey, a heat loss report, a comfort guarantee, MCS certification or proof that every survey assumption is correct.
