SEER

Also known as seasonal energy efficiency ratio

SEER is a seasonal product metric for cooling efficiency under a defined test method.

SEER (seasonal energy efficiency ratio) describes seasonal cooling efficiency under the applicable product test and climate assumptions. It is used on AC product information and energy labels. SEER is not the same as point-condition EER and does not predict the electricity used in a particular home, which also depends on cooling load, weather, set point, controls, operating time, cycling and installation.
