Serial number

Also known as S/N

A serial number is a unique identifier assigned to one physical device or component, often printed on its label and used in support, registration, warranty and recall workflows.

A serial number is a unique identifier assigned to one physical device, product or component rather than to the whole model range. It may be labelled as serial number, Serial No. or S/N (serial number). In home energy systems it can appear on inverter, battery, EV charger, heat pump, meter, hub or controller labels, in apps, portals, warranty forms, support cases and event logs.
