Site export control

Site export control is the measurement and control arrangement that keeps the net export from a property or installation within a set limit at the grid connection point. It usually measures power flow near the meter or exit point, then tells generation, battery storage, a bidirectional charger or another controllable device to reduce output or adjust demand so export stays within the DNO-agreed allowance. The term may appear in G100 customer-limitation paperwork, inverter or battery settings, export-control declarations, single-line diagrams and handover documents. It describes the control function at the site, not the export limit number itself, the maximum export capacity in the connection agreement, exported kWh, an export MPAN or a supplier export tariff.
