Solid wall insulation

Solid wall insulation is insulation added to the inside or outside of a solid external wall to reduce heat loss through that wall.

Solid wall insulation is insulation added to the inside or outside of a solid external wall to reduce heat loss through that wall. It describes a building-fabric measure, not the same as a solid wall itself, cavity wall insulation, external render, cladding, a damp survey, a structural report, planning permission, Building Regulations completion, DNO approval, MCS certification or proof that equipment can be mounted, cabled or sited there.
