Twin and earth cable

Also known as T&E, Twin & Earth cable, 6242Y cable

Twin and earth cable is a flat fixed-wiring cable, often labelled T&E (twin and earth), with insulated live conductors and a circuit protective conductor inside an outer sheath.

Twin and earth cable, often labelled T&E (twin and earth), is a flat sheathed fixed-wiring cable used in domestic electrical installations. It usually has two insulated current-carrying conductors, such as line and neutral on a single-phase circuit, plus a CPC (circuit protective conductor) for earth continuity inside the outer sheath. It names a cable type, not a completed design.
