Underfloor heating compatibility

Also known as UFH compatibility

Underfloor heating compatibility checks whether a floor heating system can deliver the required room heat at the flow temperature and controls a heat pump or heating design expects.

Underfloor heating compatibility is the design and review check for whether an existing or proposed underfloor heating system can meet the room heat loss at the intended heating-water flow temperature. It depends on floor construction, heated floor area, pipe spacing, water flow rate, floor covering, room controls and whether manifolds or mixing valves suit the heat source.
