A virtual power plant (VPP) is a software-controlled group of small energy assets, such as home batteries, solar systems, EVs or flexible loads, coordinated to act like one resource for a supplier, manufacturer, aggregator or grid service. In home energy, a VPP may charge, discharge or adjust enrolled devices under agreed programme rules. The label describes aggregation and remote coordination, not a physical power station, tariff rate, export meter, SEG eligibility, export MPAN setup, DNO approval, MCS certification, backup capability, warranty cover or a savings guarantee.
