Warranty registration

Warranty registration is the step of recording a product, installation or workmanship guarantee with the responsible manufacturer, installer, scheme operator or warranty provider.

Warranty registration is the administrative step that records a product, installation or workmanship warranty with the manufacturer, installer, scheme operator or warranty provider. In home energy work it may appear in handover packs, product portals, installer paperwork, guarantee documents, insurance-backed workmanship warranty evidence and post-installation checklists. GOV.UK consumer guidance tells households to check whether guarantees or warranties must be registered within a certain timeframe and whether the business or consumer is responsible, and to ask for proof if the business handles it.
