Warranty throughput

Warranty throughput is the cumulative energy-use figure that a battery warranty counts against a stated use limit or warranty condition.
Warranty throughput is the cumulative amount of energy that a battery warranty counts against a stated use limit, usually shown in megawatt hours (MWh) or as MWh per kilowatt hour (kWh) of usable or stored capacity. It is different from usable capacity, which describes how much energy the battery can make available at one time. It is also different from cycle life, which counts repeated charge and discharge cycles under stated conditions. A warranty may use throughput as an operating limit, a fair-use allowance or a point at which an energy-retention promise is assessed, depending on the product and application. The figure should be read with the warranty period, retained-capacity promise, permitted applications, measurement point, exclusions and any monitoring or commissioning conditions. It does not promise savings, backup runtime or the battery's remaining state of health on its own.
