Zero export

Zero export is an export-control target where a solar inverter, battery system, bidirectional charger or site controller is set so the property should not intentionally export electricity to the distribution network. It usually relies on a meter, CT clamp or export-power manager measuring power flow near the connection point and reducing generation, battery discharge or other controllable output when export would otherwise occur. The phrase can appear in inverter settings, export-power-manager manuals, G100 or DNO export-limitation evidence, single-line diagrams and handover documents. It is not the same as having no solar generation, being off-grid, having no export MPAN, having no supplier export tariff, receiving DNO approval or proving that no brief export spike can ever be recorded.
