Zoning

Zoning is a heating-control arrangement that divides a home or heating system into separately controlled areas rather than treating the whole property as one space.

Zoning is a heating-control arrangement where different rooms or groups of rooms are treated as separate heating zones, each with its own temperature control or demand signal. In heat pump and wet central-heating documents, it can appear around room thermostats, TRV (thermostatic radiator valve) schedules, underfloor heating manifolds, zone valves, controller screens and commissioning notes.
