Altherma 3 R F is the integrated-cylinder package within Daikin’s Altherma 3 R split family. The F identifies the floor-standing indoor unit, not a separate outdoor heat-pump range.

The package has at least two main codes

An installed system combines an ERGA or ERLA outdoor unit with an EHVH, EHVX or related indoor code. The indoor code identifies heating-only or reversible operation, cylinder size and backup-heater arrangement. Daikin’s current page lists 180 and 230 litre integrated-cylinder forms.

The outdoor schedule spans the 4, 6 and 8 kW ERGA classes and the 11, 14 and 16 kW ERLA classes. Not every indoor suffix is offered with every outdoor code or electrical supply, so the two labels should remain together in a handover record.

It remains a refrigerant split

R32 refrigerant pipework runs between the outdoor and indoor units. The refrigerant line lengths, charge adjustments and installation qualifications therefore come from the exact manuals. The integrated cylinder does not turn the system into a monobloc.

Current UK package figures state hot water up to 60°C, outdoor operation down to -25°C and outdoor sound pressure from 44 to 50 dB(A). Sound power for planning and heat output at a design condition remain outdoor-code-specific.

Certification and warranty

The MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) Product Directory held current ERGA and ERLA combinations with integrated indoor equipment on 23 July 2026. A matching capacity name alone does not establish that a different cylinder or indoor unit is the same certified combination.

Daikin’s live UK warranty page stated two years as standard at the review date. Air-to-water extensions through Stand By Me depend on registration, installer route, annual maintenance and the issued terms.
