Dura-i HV is Duracell Energy’s three-phase hybrid-inverter family for the Dura5 HV battery system. The current schedules cover 5, 6, 8 and 10 kW models and a separate 15, 20, 25, 30, 40 and 50 kW range. The full model code is required because power, battery limits, enclosure rating and cooling differ across that span.
Solar and battery inputs
Both schedules allow up to 1,000 V PV input and give an MPPT operating range of 150 to 950 V. The number of trackers, strings and input-current limits vary with inverter size. A stated percentage of PV oversizing is not a standalone design rule: string voltage, tracker current, short-circuit current and the distribution-network agreement all remain binding.
The 5 to 10 kW range uses a 150 to 600 V battery window and up to 30 A charge or discharge current. The 15 to 50 kW schedule uses a wider battery window and model-dependent current limits. Dura5 HV module count must therefore be selected against the exact inverter rather than copied between schedules.
Grid and backup operation
The inverters connect to a three-phase supply with neutral and protective earth. The datasheets list a backup output and a transfer time below 10 ms. Rated backup output follows the selected model, while short-duration peak figures have time limits and depend on sufficient battery and PV power.
That output still needs compliant isolation, changeover, earthing and protected-load design. A high inverter rating does not establish that an entire building can operate through an outage, particularly where motors, heat pumps or EV chargers have high starting or sustained demand.
The 5 to 10 kW enclosure is IP65 and naturally cooled. The 15 to 50 kW models are IP66, with cooling and acoustic figures changing across the range. Communications include RS485, CAN and WLAN. Current datasheets state a ten-year warranty, subject to registration and terms.
