Duracell 5+ is an earlier low-voltage home battery made under the Duracell Energy licence by Puredrive Energy. A UK installation record covers two 5+ units installed in 2024. The model is absent from the current UK product range and is treated as superseded rather than current here.
Identification and capacity
Model PD-5KWH-50V-1G uses LFP cells with 5.12 kWh nominal energy, 4.6 kWh usable energy and 51.2 V nominal voltage. Maximum continuous current is 100 A, with a 110 A peak.
The cabinet measures 386 × 150 × 737 mm and weighs 59 kg ±1 kg. It is a wall-mounted IP65 unit. Up to five systems can operate in parallel.
Those details distinguish it from the current Dura5 PD-5KWH-50V-2G, which has a different enclosure, lower weight and a different expansion schedule. Similar capacity and voltage do not establish that the two generations can share an inverter, battery bus or communications chain.
Installed-system identity
Expansion or replacement depends on the full 1G model code and an approved system configuration. Current Dura5 specifications do not apply to a 5+.
The battery has no independent household AC output. Solar charging, grid charging and backup depend on the connected inverter and system arrangement.
The original product carried a ten-year warranty. Whether a particular unit remains covered depends on its installation date, registration and original warranty terms. Current-range terms do not apply retrospectively.
