The One’s socket can use a removable cable or lock a compatible cable in place for tethered day-to-day use.
Power and cable arrangement
The vehicle’s onboard AC charger, the installed circuit limit and any active load control can all set a lower rate than the chargepoint’s maximum.
One chargers can share a home circuit using local Easee Link communication. An Easee Equalizer measures power at the building supply for dynamic load control and automatic solar-surplus charging. These are separate functions from sharing capacity between chargers, so the Equalizer has to be included and commissioned where building-level control is required.
Protection and control
The One includes open PEN (protective earth and neutral) conductor protection for UK protective multiple earthing (PME) supplies. Its integrated functions form part of the chargepoint, while the external circuit and protective devices still have to match the installation design.
The Easee app and supported third-party services provide remote control. Bluetooth provides a local route, while RFID and near-field communication can restrict or attribute charging sessions. The exact network and protocol specifications are recorded separately from those user functions.
Backplates supplied in late 2025 and early 2026
The Office for Product Safety and Standards reported a limited batch of BP-AP-1/s01-01 backplates with an incorrect terminal label. The affected units entered the UK market between late September 2025 and 3 February 2026. A terminal that should have been labelled PME was marked L3, which could lead to incorrect wiring and bypass the charger’s PEN-fault function.
The report rates the issue as low risk and records a modification programme. Easee is identifying affected units from serial numbers and installer records, arranging inspection or replacement where required and pausing charging where an affected unit is incorrectly wired without separate PEN protection until it is corrected.
Warranty and UK listing
Easee’s UK warranty is conditional on correct installation. The model is also present on the dated GOV.UK eligible chargepoint list, although scheme eligibility still depends on the current rules for the applicant, property and installation.
