IQ8AC microinverter

Enphase IQ8AC-72-M-INT is a current UK microinverter for one compatible solar module. It has 360 W rated power, 366 W maximum AC output and 96.6% European weighted efficiency.

Input matching

IQ8AC uses an 18 to 60 V input range, a 22 V start-up voltage and a 28 to 45 V MPPT window. Its maximum input current is 14 A, maximum short-circuit input current is 25 A and maximum input power is 530 W.

The 530 W figure is a DC input limit rather than the AC output rating. Module matching must satisfy voltage and current limits across the module’s temperature range.

AC branch and enclosure

The microinverter produces 230 V AC with 1.59 A maximum output current. Maximum efficiency is 97.3%, while European weighted efficiency is 96.6%. A 20 A circuit supports up to ten units on a single-phase branch or 30 distributed across three phases.

IQ8AC measures 212 × 175 × 30.2 mm without its bracket and weighs 1.1 kg with the mounting plate. It is rated IP67, uses natural-convection cooling and operates from -40°C to 65°C. Communications use power-line communication.

Warranty and system boundary

The Great Britain warranty is 25 years in Scotland, England and Wales, conditional on an internet-connected IQ Gateway and the remaining terms. Northern Ireland needs its applicable document. Module, branch and gateway design remain specific to the complete IQ8AC code and system.
