EO Mini Pro 3 is EO Charging’s current compact home chargepoint. It is offered at up to 7.2 kW for a single-phase supply or 22 kW for three-phase, with either a universal Type 2 socket or a fixed 5 m Type 2 cable.
Versions and power
The socketed version can use a separate Type 2 cable, including longer cables where the installation and cable specification permit. EO states that the tethered model is limited to its standard 5 m cable because of the load placed on the compact enclosure.
The wallbox rating is not the guaranteed vehicle rate. Supply phase, configured current, site load management and the vehicle’s onboard AC charger set the actual power.
Codes in register data distinguish hardware options. EM301 generally denotes the single-phase branch and EM303 the three-phase branch, with suffixes used for socketed or tethered connection, PME protection, dynamic current limiting and communications. The full label and current datasheet should govern rather than interpreting a shortened code from memory.
Connectivity and solar control
Wi-Fi, Cat 5 Ethernet and Bluetooth are standard, with 4G offered as an option. Smart schedules, session records and remote functions depend on the applicable EO app or backend and the commissioned network connection.
Solar charging is an optional configuration using an additional current-transformer clamp. Dynamic load management similarly needs correct measurement and settings. The clamp direction, measurement point and supply limit should be recorded at handover.
UK protection and installation
EO states that the single-phase version includes built-in open-PEN conductor protection, avoiding an earth rod in the documented arrangement. It does not make every regional or three-phase version identical. RCD selection, overcurrent protection, earthing, cable route and DNO notification still need to meet the current instructions and UK rules.
EO’s support page links product-specific warranty registration but does not state one universal duration. The order, serial number, installation status and written terms should be retained as the warranty evidence.
