Fronius Argeno

Fronius Argeno is a current 125 kW three-phase string inverter for commercial and industrial solar arrays. It has ten MPPTs, giving a project designer separate control over several roof planes or module groups. It is a PV inverter, not a hybrid battery inverter.

DC and AC data

Argeno has a 550 to 850 V MPPT range, 1,100 V maximum DC input and peak efficiency of 99.1%. It is designed for module currents up to 30 A, and specified trackers can be paralleled for up to 60 A.

The 1,100 V figure is the maximum DC input, not the operating MPPT ceiling. A string still has to remain inside the 550 to 850 V tracking range in operation. Paralleling specified MPPTs changes the permitted current arrangement; it does not turn all ten trackers into interchangeable 60 A inputs.

DC oversizing is supported up to 200%. That ratio does not override the voltage, current or tracker-allocation limits.

Installation and system integration

Argeno uses active air cooling, an IP66 enclosure and integrated type 1+2 surge protection. These are common product features of the 125 kW unit rather than optional battery functions.

Argeno has no direct high-voltage battery connection and does not provide islanded backup. Storage or standby generation elsewhere on the site must be coordinated through the complete electrical and control design.
