SDT G2 is an earlier GoodWe three-phase grid-tied inverter family. It has separate 4–15 kW and 17–25 kW schedules, all with two MPPTs.

Input-current and voltage schedules

Input current changes within the range. The 12 and 15 kW models allocate two strings to one tracker and one to the other, while the 25 kW model uses a three-string and two-string arrangement. These are tracker limits, not a permission to exceed the current, voltage or connector limits of an individual string.

The 4–15 kW group has a 1,000 V maximum input and a 180–850 V MPPT range. The 17–25 kW group has a 1,100 V maximum input and a 200–950 V MPPT range. The family also has headline allowances of up to 150% DC oversizing and 110% AC overloading. Array and output design still need the exact model’s voltage window, current and AC limits and site temperature assumptions.

This is a solar-only inverter. It has no direct battery connection and no backup supply.

Generation and supply status

GoodWe’s SDT G2 product and datasheet pages remain available, while its current central inverter catalogue foregrounds SDT G3. That leaves current new-supply status for SDT G2 unconfirmed. It does not make installed equipment unsupported, nor does it allow SDT G3 specifications to be copied across.

GoodWe’s March 2026 European warranty gives covered SDT G2 equipment made before 1 January 2026 five years. Its ten-year table for equipment made on or after that date names SDT G2 Plus+ and residential SDT G3, not the original SDT G2. Conditional extension wording applies only where every stated installer, power, monitoring and registration condition is met.

UK connection boundary

Even the smallest SDT G2 is three-phase and rated above 3.68 kW aggregate. Connection treatment is determined from current evidence for the exact code rather than from the family page.
