Aerona³ R32 is Grant’s four-model range of R32 air source heat pumps. The superscript three is part of the product name. The UK range consists of HPID6R32, HPID10R32, HPID13R32 and HPID17R32, commonly described as the 6, 10, 13 and 17 kW models.
Four models, two rating points
The outputs at 7°C outdoor air differ between 35°C and 55°C flow. The named size and the measured output at a stated test point are related but not interchangeable.
| Model code | Named size | Output at A7/W35 | Output at A7/W55 | Current UK MCS certificate |
|---|---|---|---|---|
HPID6R32 |
6 kW | 6.92 kW | 6.24 kW | BBA 0009/15 and 0185/05 |
HPID10R32 |

Current UK MCS Product Directory records exist for all four R32 models. The directory lists HPID6 under BBA 0009/15 and 0185/05, HPID10 under BBA 0009/16 and 0185/06, HPID13 under BBA 0009/18 and HPID17 under BBA 0009/17 and 0185/07. It also returns generic Aerona³ family records BBA 0009/14 and 0185/04. The order of the 0009 certificate suffixes does not follow ascending model size.
The MCS records contain seasonal performance values across flow temperatures from 35°C to 55°C. The four models differ in capacity, electrical requirements, acoustic figures, size and refrigerant charge, so the product code is needed when checking a system design.
R32 system context
Aerona³ is an air-to-water monobloc range, keeping the R32 refrigerant circuit in the outdoor unit. The models use a 230 V single-phase supply and carry an IPX4 rating in the installer manual. Grant gives 60°C as the maximum flow temperature in heating mode, with 55°C as the highest published seasonal-performance point.
R32 has different properties and installation requirements from the R290 refrigerant used in the newer Aerona 290 family. Figures from the two ranges should not be transferred between them even where the named output is similar.
Availability
The Aerona³ R32 range remained current on Grant’s UK professional site, with all four model records current in the MCS directory, at 22 July 2026. Its one-year manufacturer guarantee extends to two years when the unit is registered within 30 days and serviced annually. A separate conditional seven-year guarantee is available through eligible G1 installers. The paperwork for the installed unit remains the applicable record.
