Two current L1 specification sets use overlapping model codes: a generic schedule and a UK-launched High Current Version. The product data plate and matching datasheet revision are therefore needed before any electrical limit is used.
L1 MPPT and LUNA2000 compatibility evidence
Each MPPT retains its own voltage, operating-current and short-circuit-current limits. The generic and High Current documents publish different limits and different conditional allowances for fully optimised strings. Those allowances must not be transferred to an ordinary string design or between versions.
The generic L1, High Current Version and current S1 schedules do not present identical battery rows. This divergence requires exact hardware and current compatibility evidence rather than an assumption based on the shared L1 suffix. Discharge power also follows the inverter rating rather than one family-wide figure.
Charge and discharge limits are separate. Stored energy does not determine either power limit.
BackupBox, SmartGuard and Smart Dongle support
Backup requires BackupBox-B0 or SmartGuard-63A-S0.
L1 includes WLAN and can use Smart Dongle WLAN-FE or 4G hardware.
L1 warranty record and UK supply status
Huawei’s May 2026 European policy places KTL-L1 in its residential inverter warranty schedule, subject to the sales contract. The April 2024 UK PSTI (Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure) statement names the L1 ratings, but its separate period covers product security. Huawei continues to publish generic and High Current Version material, while current UK new supply for every rating and version is unconfirmed.
