Huawei identifies the current SUN2000 KTL-M1 product as the High Current Version. This page’s electrical schedule applies to that named generation and must not be transferred to an earlier M1 document without matching the full model code and datasheet revision.

High Current Version PV inputs and battery connection

Each MPPT retains its own voltage, operating-current and short-circuit-current limits, so the array cannot be designed from the family power range alone. The efficiency values are inverter test figures, not an annual yield forecast.

Huawei’s separate 20 kWp long-string allowance applies only when the strings are designed and connected to the named SUN2000-450W-P2 or SUN2000-600W-P optimisers. It does not replace the ordinary recommended PV schedule.

The battery connection supports named LUNA2000 S0 and S1 systems. Maximum discharge power follows the inverter rating, so battery capacity does not by itself establish the power available to the property.

Three-phase grid and single-phase backup

The M1 on-grid output is three phase. BackupBox-B1 takes a three-phase grid and inverter connection but supplies a single-phase backup output, so its rating must not be read as three-phase backup capacity.

Huawei publishes G98 and G99 among the family standards. The exact type-test record and site arrangement determine the DNO route.

M1 can use the Smart Dongle WLAN-FE or 4G for communications.

M1 warranty and UK availability

Huawei’s European policy dated 19 May 2026 places KTL-M1 in its residential inverter warranty schedule, subject to contract. The High Current Version product and specification pages remain live, although current UK new supply for every exact code remains unconfirmed.
